Clenova’s restaurant cleaners in London work at any hour. We come after your last cover, overnight or before morning prep. You pick the time, and the hourly rate stays the same.
Late cleaning is safer too. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) says slips and trips cause more major injuries at work than anything else, and kitchen staff are hit hardest. HSE advice is to clean floors in quiet hours and let them dry fully. A clean after close gives your floor all night to dry.
Each night starts in the dining room, washrooms and entrance. Kitchen work comes last, once the ranges have cooled. For restaurant kitchen cleaning in London, that means grills, fryers, worktops, sinks and floors, in the same order every night.
Cool equipment is safer to clean. HSE warns that oven cleaner sprayed on a hot surface can cause breathing problems. Waiting protects our team and leaves no fumes for yours.
Good food hygiene starts with kitchen cleaning, and in London your council’s food safety officer scores it. Under the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (opens in a new tab), they rate you from 0 to 5. They look at how you handle food and how you manage food safety. They also check the state of your premises, including cleanliness and pest control.
Our nightly clean works on that third score, and we can add pest control visits too. In the Food Standards Agency’s 2025 survey, 77 per cent of the food businesses it surveyed in England held the top rating of 5. In September 2026, the FSA Board also backed plans to make displaying food hygiene ratings compulsory in England, with proposals due back in March 2027. Keep up a nightly routine and your kitchen is ready for the officer, whichever day they call.
The FSA asks for two steps on food surfaces. First clean with detergent, then disinfect. Any disinfectant used should meet BS EN 1276 or BS EN 13697, the two British Standards the FSA names. Leave it on for the time on the label, because disinfectant only works on a clean surface.
Your Safer Food Better Business pack also asks for a cleaning schedule, listing each item and how often it is cleaned. The written plan we agree with you sets out exactly that.

Get Your Restaurant PricedClenova charges from £20 an hour plus VAT for restaurant cleaning across London. Equipment and materials are included. After midnight the rate stays the same, and there is no minimum number of hours.
Price depends on how long each visit takes, how many nights you book and the size of your kitchen and dining room.
Restaurant deep cleaning is priced per job. Deep cleans reach under and behind equipment, into floor drains and up the walls. Extraction cleans are priced the same way, and both come in writing after a free site survey.
Because we are VAT registered, every price is shown plus VAT and the figure you agree is the figure you pay. Each agreement comes with our 90 day quality guarantee: if something falls short within 90 days, we put it right.

Restaurant kitchen canopies, filters and ductwork across London are cleaned by Clenova’s own directly employed staff. Extraction work runs on the same schedule as your nightly clean. One company means one schedule, one set of keys and one contact.
How often kitchen extraction needs cleaning in a London restaurant depends on how long you cook each day. TR19 Grease (opens in a new tab) is the specification from BESA, the Building Engineering Services Association. It starts at every 3 months for 12 to 16 hours of cooking a day. Lighter use moves to every 6 months at 6 to 12 hours, or every 12 months at 2 to 6 hours.
| Cooking each day | Across a year | Clean every |
|---|---|---|
| 12 to 16 hours | 4 cleans a year | 3 months |
| 6 to 12 hours | 2 cleans a year | 6 months |
| 2 to 6 hours | 1 clean a year | 12 months |
Final timing comes from your risk assessment. At Clenova, we book your clean to match it, so it stays on time.
Clean extraction also lowers your fire risk. In April 2025, London Fire Brigade attended a Walthamstow restaurant where a charcoal ember lit grease inside the extract duct. Two people went to hospital. Regular cleaning clears that build-up, and we fit it into the same schedule as your nightly clean.
Every restaurant cleaning service we run is carried out by cleaners on Clenova’s own payroll, with no zero-hours contracts. That means the same faces in your kitchen each week. They learn where everything goes and how your close works. That same model runs across the other sectors we clean.
Two independent schemes check how Clenova manages health and safety: SafeContractor, which has approved us, and CHAS, which accredits us at Advanced level. Your keys stay with cleaners who work to those checked methods.
We are also SSIP certified. SSIP stands for Safety Schemes in Procurement. Member schemes recognise each other’s checks. This saves time if your landlord or head office asks for a particular scheme.
BICSc, the British Institute of Cleaning Science, counts us as a corporate member, and it is the professional body for the cleaning industry. Every clean we do is insured.

Clenova cleans restaurants and cafés across inner London and the boroughs around it. Our team works from Peckham, SE15, and comes to you after close, overnight or before prep.
Our team works across all of the districts above, at whatever hour suits your close.
A central London site can take longer per visit than one further out, because access, deliveries and building rules all eat into the hour. We price that at the free site survey, so it is in your written price from the start.
Clenova is based in Peckham, south east London, and works across inner London from there.
Get directions (opens in a new tab)Restaurant agreements with Clenova in London have no minimum contract length and usually end on 30 days' notice. One night a week or seven, the same hourly rate applies.
Yes, we can start with a one-off deep clean, priced per job, then keep the kitchen at that level with regular cleaning. To ask for a re-rating, you need to have made the changes and send proof such as photos. Some councils charge for the visit, such as £327 in Haringey. Our written plan and monthly reports help you show the officer what has changed.
Yes. Cafés and coffee shops across London get the same commercial restaurant cleaning services from Clenova, at the same rate and with the same any-hour booking. If you also run a bar, we cover it through our cleaning for bars and late-night venues.
Yes. Placing kitchen porters on the same agreement is simple, and they are directly employed like our cleaners. Washing up and back-of-house support then come from the same company as your nightly clean.
With no minimum hours, you can book a single clean after a private event, a bank holiday weekend or before a reopening. You pay the same hourly rate.
Coverage runs across inner London, including the City, Canary Wharf and the West End. That takes in Soho, Covent Garden, Mayfair and the streets around Hyde Park, plus the boroughs around them. From our base in Peckham, SE15, the team comes to you at any hour.
A deep clean before an inspection feels like the safe move. Yet the officer scores whatever is in front of them on the day. Even when you ask for a re-rating, your council does not give you the date in advance. A steady nightly clean, with deep cleans on a set schedule, gives you a kitchen that is ready on any morning.
